(above is a sped up version of As Slow as Possible by John Cage).

If you take the letters in capital from the title and put them together you will get ASLSP, also known as ‘As Slow As Possible’, the piece written by American Composer John Cage. The title, of course, gives away the main purpose of this piece: to become the slowest piece of music ever played. It has been playing on a specially built organ in a German Church since 2001, beginning with a pause — this lasted a year and a half.

At time of writing, the last chord change was on the 5th September 2020. Altogether, the performance is meant to last 639 years, so ’til 2640.

*MCU SPOILERS AHEAD*

Agents of SHIELD

The MCU is one of the largest franchise in this millenium. With Avengers: Endgame (2019) at the top of the Box Office of All Time, and many of Hollywood’s biggest stars earning their fame via roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there are tons of fans of this Series of shows and movies. One thing that makes any Marvel product so fascinating to watch, is the story interweaved within all of it. Agent Coulson of SHIELD is linked to Spiderman. Daredevil aka Matt Murdock is linked to the Big Six Avengers.

Currently, I am taking on the…

Famous musicians, from all genres, certainly have a firm grip in the film/streaming industry, with producers, directors and composers waiting to show never before seen behind-the-scenes footage of personal life, as well as their work life, over the last 2 decades or so. With Taylor Swift’s ‘Miss Americana’ doc, Justin Bieber’s YT Docs ‘Seasons’ and ‘Justin Bieber: Next Chapter’ + his films ‘Never Say Never’ etc.., Billie Eilish’s doc ‘The World’s A Little Blurry’ and Ariana Grande’s doc ‘excuse me, I love you’, just to name a few, they certainly look to be yet another long, on-going tradition. And there’s…

So, everyone has that thing that they eat with something else. And then you tell others about it, thinking maybe there’s just a slight chance it could just be you/ and your family who has it. Then the reaction they give is quite unsatisfactory. Then you try to convince them not to judge a book by its cover, and that although it may not sound tasty to them, it is tastier than it sounds. And so, I have a few I’mma share below. …

*WARNING — POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR ALL OF THE MCU AHEAD*

So, approximately, somewhere in August last year, in the last of the 6-month-lockdown, I decided to watch the entire MCU chronologically in order. Now, it does sound like a mammoth task, and it certainly turned out to be; but it was definitely worth it. At the time of writing (2/4/21), I finished Endgame about a week ago, and WandaVision also somewhere last week. Although Spider-Man: Far From Home was released 2 years ago, chronologically, it comes after WandaVision and so I only finished it earlier this week. …

Ranking Marvel Series out of Agents of SHIELD, WandaVision, Inhumans, Runaways, Cloak & Dagger, Agent Carter and Daredevil.

7. Runaways

Holistically, it wasn’t a bad show, but some of the concepts didn’t make sense, such as one of the characters with the ability to glow, and emit that energy, basically the same as Captain Marvel — couldn’t they have come up with something a bit more different?Aside from this, it had little to no links to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the only being, perhaps, the Darkhold.

6. Cloak & Dagger

This show, I have to say, I thoroughly…

Delivery. Ready-Made Meals. Instant Food. I’d bet you a large sum of money that you’ve had 1+ of these within the past week. I myself had McDonald’s only a few days ago. Once upon a time, these words would be reversed; we’d only have delivery once in a while.

Then there’s eating in restaurants, buffets etc… Whatever it is, it seems that nowadays, we’d trade food for the now, rather than the process of making everything yourself and waiting. Even if you said you were gonna have pasta and chips at home, you probably meant you’d use pasta that just…

When the bell rings signalling the end of something, whether it’s the end of the school, term, whatever it may be, you don’t check the time at that point, wondering whether the alarm is correct or not. You just go with it. But if any of the students at St Catherine’s High had checked, they would’ve discovered that instead of the usual 3:30 that paired with the final alarm daily, all clocks and watches read, in fact 3pm. There were the attentive few, those labelled as ‘neeks’(nerd + geek), who noticed something…but it was too difficult to discern. This time…

Hearing celebrities who we originally associate with one field jump into another certainly isn’t a new thing, but seemingly more like an ongoing, long-lasting trend. From Wes Nelson, who initially appeared on Love Island, making his own music debut with “See Nobody”, to Johnny Depp placing more focus on his band, a lot of areas of are being covered. And recently, Addison Rae has made her own switch onto the musical side of things with her first single “Obsessed”.

Now, when you think of the name ‘Addison Rae’ the things that will most likely come to mind include TikTok…

There’s been a lot of buzz about WandaVision from before it was released, even til now, whilst The Falcon & The Winter Soldier is having its own spotlight, and deservedly so, I can say having finished watching it recently myself. From a journalist naming it one of the best series ever made, to Tom Holland himself calling it the best MCU content he’s watched, being a big fan himself, WandaVision has certainly earned high praise, and brought in new high standards. …
